Databases

Databases are collections of vetted and reliable resources.  Databases are especially helpful in more academic research.

Online Resources

Kid's Health link

"If you're looking for information you can trust about kids and teens that's free of "doctor speak," you've come to the right place. KidsHealth is the most-visited site on the Web for information about health, behavior, and development from before birth through the teen years." You can read more about KidsHealth and how they work to provide reliable health information on their About KidsHealth page.

KidsHealth is an especially valuable resource in research because of their clear and concise overviews of a wide variety of diseases and health topics.

CDC Link

"The CDC works 24/7 to protect America from health, safety and security threats, both foreign and in the U.S. Whether diseases start at home or abroad, are chronic or acute, curable or preventable, human error or deliberate attack, CDC fights disease and supports communities and citizens to do the same." Read more about what the Centers for Disease Control does on their Mission, Role, and Pledge page.

The CDC is an especially valuable resource in research because of their detailed resources about diseases, including statistics about the disease in the U.S.
