Morning Library meets daily from 7:30-7:50am.
* Homework Club meets in the library until 4:00pm.
In the Day Middle School Library, students can find the latest in middle grade and young adult literature, research a topic for school or personal interest, work on homework and class projects, or just have a comfortable place to read and relax.
The collection provides access to over 8,000 books, as well as numerous online resources. The fiction collection is now organized by genre, making it even easier for students to find the books they are interested in. With both middle grade and young adult fiction available, it is important that students think about themselves as readers when selecting titles. Young adult titles may have more mature themes and content, and are noted with a "YA" sticker on the spine.
We have a robust student library helper program that helps keep our library running smoothly. If interested in helping out with sporadic projects, please reach out.
The 71 flags displayed in the library represent the countries and cultures of our students. As a result of surveys done in the early '90s and again in 2015, we came up with the following countries and territories:
Albania Angola Argentina Armenia Austria Belarus Belgium Brazil Cambodia Canada Cape Verde Chile China Colombia Dominican Republic Ecuador El Salvador Finland |
France Georgia Germany Great Britain Greece Guatemala Haiti Hong Kong Hungary India Indonesia Iran Iraq Ireland Israel Italy Jamaica Japan |
Latvia |
Saudi Arabia Scotland Singapore Slovenia South Africa South Korea Sudan Sweden Switzerland Syria Taiwan Thailand Uganda Ukraine United States Uruguay Vietnam |
